Do You Know Students Interested in Becoming Gators?
The College of Agricultural and Life Sciences is always excited to learn of students that are interested in the more than 23 majors offered by the college and its schools. If you know a student you would like to introduce to the Gator community, consider taking advantage of these opportunities:

CALS Gator Encounter (April 14, 2007)
Gator Encounter 2007 is the prospective student open house for the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS). This event is an opportunity for high school and community college students and their parents, teachers and advisors to visit our campus and learn first-hand about academic programs and opportunities in CALS .Through interaction with CALS faculty, staff and students, participants will learn about CALS majors, admission standards, financial aid, professional schools and student life.  Tours of campus will also be offered.

Animal Science Open House (TBD)
The Animal Science Open House gives students in grades 9-12 the opportunity to view demonstrations at UF’s livestock teaching facilities, which showcase beef cattle, dairy cattle, horses, swine and the meats industry. Discussion of career opportunities will also take place at each unit, providing a general overview of employment options in the livestock industry. Opportunities available within the animal sciences program, including the courses, scholarships, internships, judging teams, and other student organizations, will be highlighted. Faculty, staff and students from the animal sciences program will be available to provide participants with personal experiences and advisement.
