Scholarships and Awards (Undergraduate & Graduate)

Undergraduate Scholarships

CALS awards over $400,000 in scholarships annually.


All students enrolled in or entering the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences or the Biological Engineering major are eligible to apply for CALS scholarships.


Scholarship applications are available online. New applications must be submitted by March 15 and renewal applications must be submitted by March 1 to be considered for awards for the following academic year. Notification of scholarship decisions will be made in late summer.


Scholarship applications are now closed for the 2013-2014 year. Thank you very much for your submissions!



Undergraduate Awards

Each spring, CALS recognizes undergraduate students who display outstanding leadership and scholarship with the following awards:

  • J. Wayne Reitz Medal of Excellence - presented to the outstanding CALS senior in honor of UF's Provost for Agriculture from 1949 to 1955
  • E. T. York Medal of Excellence - presented to the outstanding CALS junior in honor of UF's Vice President of Agriculture from 1963 to 1973
  • Larry J. Connor Medal of Excellence - presented to the outstanding senior minority student in the College in honor of the dean of the College from 1991 to 1999
  • CALS Alumni and Friends Leadership Award - presented to a CALS senior who exemplifies leadership, scholastic achievement and citizenship

Graduate Scholarships and Awards

Graduate Students may be eligible for Awards, Scholarships, and Travel Grants.

 

CALS is accepting applications for the Jimmy G. Cheek Graduate Student Medal of Excellence and Jack L. Fry Award for Excellence in Teaching through Feb. 22.
