Areas to Support

Private financial support allows the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences to pursue its mission of delivering unsurpassed educational programs that prepare students to address the world's critical challenges related to agriculture, food systems, human wellbeing, natural resources and sustainable communities.

CALS Florida Fund

The CALS Florida Fund provides discretionary funds for the dean to allocate to the college's highest priorities or areas of need.

CALS Alumni and Friends Scholarship Endowment

The CALS Alumni and Friends Scholarship supports outstanding undergraduate students who are involved in college, departmental or major activities. Selection is made from the the CALS Undergraduate Scholarship Application. The annual TailGATOR silent auction as well as individual donations support this endowment.

Paul and Shari Willis CALS Ambassadors Fund

The Paul and Shari Willis CALS Ambassadors Fund provides financial support for the CALS Ambassadors program. Funding is needed for training, uniforms, travel and other areas. CALS Ambassadors create awareness of the academic programs and career opportunities in food, agriculture and natural resources. They also assist with CALS Alumni and Friends events such as TailGATOR and regional Gator Gatherings.

VP Promise Initiative

The VP Promise provides financial assistance for undergraduate students pursuing immersive experiences in the areas of agriculture, life sciences and natural resources. Students can apply for these funds, which are applied to a variety of experiences beyond the classroom, including study abroad, internships, academic competitions and more.
