About IT Services

The College of Agriculture and Life Sciences IT Services Unit is located in MCCB 2107. We maintain and operate the CALS Teaching and Technology Computer Lab in MCCB 2103 and provide systems and software solutions for the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences.

CALS Computer Lab

The computer lab is equipped with 32 Dell SX260 desktops and teaching equipment. We have a touch sensitive projection screen that coordinates with the NetOp teaching software to provide a solid framework for courses and presentations in the computer lab. The lab is available for student use when scheduled classes have not reserved the lab. A Gator1 Card is required for student access. Please review the Acceptable Use Policy before using the lab. Reserving the Lab

If you would like to reserve the lab, please contact Wendy Williams at 846-1168. We require at least one week notice beforehand so that we may inform students and teachers of the schedule changes. Semester reservations must be made the semester before.

Lab Software Policy

We will install software for the use of the college's students and professors at the professor's request if possible. Please provide two weeks notice and be prepared to test the software installation one week before it is needed.

Teachers planning to use the lab may want to take a look at our brief Lab Teacher Guide and NetOp Teacher Software Guide.
