CALS Alumni and Friends Welcomes New Alumni

graduationNearly 500 College of Agricultural and Life Sciences (CALS) students joined the ranks of UF alumni on April 29 at the college's commencement ceremony. The CALS Alumni and Friends organization, of which these graduates automatically become members of, would like to extend a warm welcome to these new alumni and encourage them to stay involved with the college and university.

TailGATOR 2005 will be held November 5th
UF vs. Vanderbilt

The College of Agricultural and Life Sciences' annual alumni barbecue will be held three-hours before kickoff on November 5th. Come out and mingle with old friends, faculty and students before watching the Gators sink the Vanderbilt Commodores. The TailGATOR Golf Tournament will be held on November 4th. Alumni Raise Green for Students at Golf Tournament

golf1The Third Annual CALS Alumni and Friends (CALSAF) Golf Tournament was held on April 22 at the Orange County National Golf Center and Lodge in Winter Garden, FL. Alumni, friends and industry supporters participated in the event, which raised money for the CALS Alumni and Friends Scholarship Fund. CALSAF
would like to extend a big thank you to the participants and sponsors, which included the Florida Fruit and Vegetable Association and Land 'O Lakes-Purina Mills.

Family Fishing Weekend July 29-30

The College of Agricultural and Life Sciences will hold its Second Annual Family Fishing Weekend July 29-30 at the Innlets on the Waterway in Boca Grande, FL. Events will include a welcome reception, fishing tournament and bike ride down the island. Look for more information in June.
