INNOVATION ACADEMY (IA)

The Innovation Academy program enrolls and supports highly motivated freshmen undergraduate students with a strong desire for expert and peer collaboration, multidisciplinary learning, rapid prototyping, creativity, and strategic risk-taking. IA students have the unique privilege to minor in Innovation.

Students in the IA program attend UF in the spring and summer academic calendar semesters. This means students are available in the Fall semester to pursue internships in a far less competitive time of the year, seek opportunities for job shadowing and volunteering, participate in fall study abroad programs, and much more.

Students officially start classes in the first spring semester after admission notification. If they desire, IA students may begin coursework through UF Online or at their local state college or university in the fall.
