Shipping from the Event

• Please make sure you have all boxes and supplies needed for shipping at the conclusion of the event. This includes shipping labels and account numbers.
• Bring all items to be shipped to the check in area at the end of the event.
• Items that are packaged and labeled can be left with CALS for pickup by UPS, DHL, or FedEx for shipping from the event. We must have your account number for pickup and cannot guarantee same-day pickup of shipments unless previously arranged.

Visit Gainesville provides several options for lodging.

Three options close to campus are the Reitz Union Hotel, Hilton UF Conference Center Hotel, and the Holiday Inn Gainesville - University.

A reception with faculty and student leaders will be held from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm the night before the CALS Career Expo. This will be held in conjunction with the Animal Sciences Internship Seminar at the UF/IFAS Straughn Professional Development Center. On-campus parking in this area is lifted beginning at 4:30 pm unless otherwise noted.

Each company or organization will receive one parking pass as part of its registration. Companies or organizations have the option of purchasing additional parking spaces at registration. The reserved parking pass is only valid on the day of the event and spaces will be held only until 10:00 a.m.

You will receive a parking code in a confirmation email ~ 1 week prior to the career expo. If you have questions about where in the garage to park, please ask an attendant to ensure you are in the proper space.

The college is not responsible for any parking violations that you receive while on the UF campus; it is your responsibility to verify valid parking areas with posted signs or an appropriate police or parking official.

Check in and setup will occur from 8:45 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.

CALS Ambassadors will be available during this time to assist employers with transporting supplies from the parking garage to the Grand Ballroom on the 2nd floor of the J. Wayne Reitz Union. Coffee and water will be available.

General display guidelines:

• Tables will be 6'x30'
• Total floor space available per table is ~8'-9' wide and 6' deep
• Do not bring huge displays, furniture, tents, equipment, or huge amounts of giveaway items. Your display needs to fit within the space provided by the table(s) you request for the event.
• Helium filled balloons and other floating items are very difficult to clean up due to the high ceilings. Please do not bring any helium filled items.
• Please do not rearrange your table(s), occupy an adjacent table or move to another location without staff approval.

If requested during registration, CALS will provide you with a username and password for accessing the UF wireless network. All computers attempting to connect to the UF wireless network must meet the minimum security requirements established by the university. Learn more at http://getonline.ufl.edu/.

A lunch voucher will be provided to each registered representative, allowing employers to choose from options in the J. Wayne Reitz Union.

We will offer door prizes to students who participate in the CALS Career Expo. Please consider bringing a company item to donate for the student drawing.
