College of Agricultural and Life Sciences

College of Agricultural and Life Sciences

CALS Biology

This program provides a broad, general overview of the structure, function, growth, origin, evolution, and distribution of living organisms. Students take courses in biology, chemistry, physics, calculus, and statistics. The major is flexible and combines the faculty and resources of two UF colleges to prepare students for career success.

Advising Vision

Academic Advising develops an ongoing relationship between the student and advisor that goes beyond semester course selection discussions. Through this relationship advisors support and challenge students to make independent decisions toward educational, professional and personal goals. A full range of resources offered by the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences and the University of Florida are available to support this vision toward our student’s development as contributing members of society.
