Washington, DC, Graduate Fellowship
The UF/IFAS Senior Vice President is sponsoring an exciting opportunity: a fully immersive, in-person fellowship supporting a graduate student in an agriculture-related role in DC.
Student interns in Washington, D.C. play a vital role in strengthening the nation’s policymaking, public service, and advocacy ecosystems. By supporting federal agencies, congressional offices, nonprofits, and mission-driven organizations, interns contribute fresh perspectives, research capacity, and energy to complex public challenges, helping offices operate more effectively and responsively.
In turn, the immersive DC experience provides students with unparalleled exposure to civic leadership, real-world policy implementation, and professional networks that shape informed, engaged careers. Internships bridge classroom learning with practical impact, deepen students’ understanding of democratic institutions, and cultivate the next generation of public servants, leaders, and engaged citizens.
