Undergraduate Research
Undergraduate research is a chance to explore your passions, challenge yourself and make meaningful scientific contributions to your field of study. Whether conducting lab experiments, analyzing data or working alongside faculty on groundbreaking projects, research gives you hands-on experience to broaden your perspective. It's a powerful way to develop skills which will set you apart in graduate school, the workforce and beyond.
At the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, we believe in empowering students to be active participants in the discovery process, and our diverse research opportunities are designed to help you achieve your unique goals.
Where do I start?
If you are interested in research, there are two great resources at UF to help you find opportunities to align with your goals and interests.
The first is your academic advisor. In our college, each major has a dedicated academic advisor who can discuss research opportunities with faculty in the department or across the university.
The Center for Undergraduate Research (CUR) provides guidance to students and faculty interested in pursuing research and creative work opportunities. CUR also coordinates campus research activities for you to explore.
